The "X" vertical windlasses are suitable for sail and motor boats from 6m to 27m in length. Each model has different motorization characteristics. The X2 and X3 windlasses are also available in a  Plus version in mirror polished AISI 316L stainless steel which offers greater protection against corrosion.
The standard features in every X series windlass are:
Watertight stainless steel ball bearing at the base (for better functionality and zero maintenance) which is a unique feature in the windlass market.
The clutch is made of two conical discs connected to the main shaft by two parallel planes on the shaft, in order to avoid using wrenches and allows a better weight load distribution.
The electric motor and gearbox are connected in such a way as to guarantee minimum maintenance.
The sensor at the base and the magnet in the gypsy concede easier installation of the chain counter.
Manual override so that the chain or rope can be recovered manually in case of electric function failure.
