Marlin IDRON Water Based Antifouling 2.5Lt Grey

IDRON is a revolutionary water-based antifouling paint. IDRON is a hard, non-soluble antifouling paint with a unique combination of binders and active principles.
IDRON creates an extremely smooth and sliding surface even if applied with a brush. Due to special surface additives containing PTFE (Teflon), the boat’s performance improves up to 10% compared to traditional self-polishing antifoulings.
Its hardness, smoothness, its good effectiveness and the ability to clean the hull before competitions without removing paint make it the ideal choice for racing yachts and ultrafast motorboats (even over 50 knots of speed). Its unique formulation makes it extremely effective for any type of boat: high performance and fast boats of frequent use, slow cruising or sailing boats that stay at the mooring most of the time.
IDRON also has a lower environmental impact and provides a safer working environment.
IDRON is extremely easy to apply, it dries quickly and it can be diluted with water. Even when applied with a brush it provides an extremely smooth and regular surface.
Its film has a very low thickness (about 25 microns dry film), which allows IDRON not to accumulate thick layers of old antifouling after years of use.
It does not release any paint when the boat is hauled and cleaned with a high pressure washer, with significant economic benefits for the shipyard (less maintenance of settling tanks) and the ecosystem (less waste reaching the seawater).
