RUGISTOP is an emulsion-based product which transforms rust into metal-organic compounds which adhere perfectly to the surface.
RUGISTOP blocks formation of rust on surfaces which are not easy to clean, doing away with  tiring sanding and buffing. The product is suitable for treating ferrous surfaces such as railings, radiators, car bodies, etc.. The product is easy to apply and does not ruin painted parts.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The product can be applied on ferrous surfaces in general.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
- Specific gravity per UNI EN ISO 2811-1: 1.03 ± 0.02 kg/l
- Outflow rate UNI 8356: 12-13"Ford cup n 4 at 25 C
- Appearance: milky liquid
- Drying (at 25 C and 65% R.H.): touch dry after 2 hours;
coatability after 24 hours and no more than 4 weeks after
application.
PREPARING THE SURFACE
 Ferrous metal:
- Remove any compact and adherent calamine.
- Remove any grease from the surfaces using nitro thinner.
- Apply the RUGISTOP rust converter.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Air and surface conditions:
Air temperature: Min. +5 C / Max.+35 C.
Relative humidity of the air: <80%.
Temperature of the surface: Min. +5 C / Max. +35 C.
Dry surface.
- Stir the product before use.
- The product can be applied with a brush, or applied by means of roller coating or spraying.
- Thinning: ready to be used.
- N coats: a single coat should be applied.
- Tools should be cleaned immediately after use using water.
- Indicative spreading rate: 8-10 sq m/l on smooth surfaces.
It is advisable to perform a preliminary test on the specific surface in order to determine the actual consumption.
