Self-polishing antifouling containing a combination of copper compounds and biocides. After about a week in the final colour-changing immersion. For its self-cleaning properties the product retains its effectiveness throughout the service period.

DESCRIPTION:
HEMPEL's MILLE NCT is a self-polishing antifouling containing a combination of copper compounds and biocides. For its self-cleaning properties the product retains its effectiveness throughout the service period. However the colour of the antifouling, one week after soaking in water, can take on a green copper gradient.

RECOMMENDED USE:
Antifouling paint for boats in fiberglass, wood, plywood and ferro-cement. Not suitable for aluminium and light alloys. Risk of corrosion in case of direct contact. Suitable for temperate or cold water.

SURFACE PREPARATION:
Previous: antifouling
Remove oil, grease, etc with HEMPEL's YACHT CLEANER
67601, followed by high pressure washing with fresh water, even to remove.
Antifouling exhausted during posting. The surface must be completely dry before coating. The application of one coat of sealant depends on the type and condition of existing antifouling.

CONDITIONS OF APPLICATION:
The surface must be completely dry and clean. Apply only in dry weather. The surface temperature must be above the dew point to prevent condensation.
The temperature of the paint should be above 15° c. Avoid the application in direct sunlight. In enclosed spaces provide adequate ventilation during application and drying.

PREVIOUS COAT:
HEMPEL's YACHT 26030 PRIMER or HEMPEL's LIGHT 45551 PRIMER or as per specification.
SUBSEQUENT COAT: No

NOTES:
The antifouling paint containing pigments with high specific gravity and must be mixed thoroughly prior to use. Dilute at least for proper formation of paint film thickness recommended.

Recommended number of coats:
Airless spray application: 2-3 coats with a total thickness of 120 microns
Air spraying, brush, roller or pad: 3-5 hands
For vessels in excess of 15 knots, apply an additional coat.
Do not launch prior to 24 hours after the last coat. HEMPEL'S MILLE NTC can stay dry upt to 3 months after painting. If you apply a coat of HEMPEL'S MILLE NTC, after prolonged exposure to the elements, clean the surface thoroughly by high pressure washing and allow to dry before painting.
When used at speeds above 15 knots, it is necessary to apply a further layer.
