Epoxy coating for internal use where there is contact with foodstuff and fresh water. This product complies with 82/711/EEC, 85/572/EEC, 90/128/EEC and 92/39/EEC concerning hygiene in packaging, containers and utensils intended to come in contact with foodstuff.

SURFACE PREPARATION
Steel – Stainless steel: wash at high pressure with fresh water to remove oil and grease contamination (if necessary include washing with specific thinner). All surfaces must be clean, dry and without contamination (if necessary use the Bresle method ISO 8502-6 to check the salinity degree). Verify that the metal presents suitable conditions of "steel preparation" (on welds, edges and various imperfections, the required degree of P 3 + ISO 8501-3). The preparation of the metal should be Sa 2 ½ (ISO 8501-1/3), with a surface profile of between 50 and 80 μm (values of roughness Ry5 or Rz DIN, corresponding to Medium Grade - 85031), using a suitable abrasive. Cover with the product provided for the metal treated in the standard above and before it presents signs of oxidation and/or colour change. Before proceeding with the application of the products provided, blow with clean dry compressed air to remove any abrasive residue and dirt.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS
To avoid the formation of condensation, the temperature of the surface should be at least 3 °C above dew point. During the application and curing the min. ambient temperature should be 10 °C, or higher than 30° C; substrate temperature must not be lower than 5° C since curing is reduced at lower temperatures. Application is not advisable when relative humidity exceeds 80%. The thermo-hygrometric survey should be carried out near the surface to be coated. It is important to ensure there is sufficient ventilation when the application takes place in closed areas.

SAFETY RULES
In order to protect personal health it is advisable to comply with the EU DPR 303 and 547 regulations. Avoid, for example any contact of the product with the skin and eyes. Use in well ventilated areas, in enclosed areas use aspirators, fans and air ventilators. Wear masks, goggles, gloves while applying the product.
