FEATURES
Ticoprene is a one-component chlorinated rubber primer pigmented with aluminium flakes, an all-purpose primer for the marine environment, suitable for maintenance painting of wood and steel boat hulls and structures. It can be applied also to zinc primers as well as to one-component and two-component primers. Well suited as a sealer for old antifoulings. Ticoprene provides good protection to parts immersed in salt and fresh water.

SURFACE PREPARATION
All substrates to be painted must be clean, dry and free of any contamination.
New and stripped wood : the humidity content must be below 18%. Sand with 100-120 grade paper and blow with dry compressed air. Apply 1 coat of Ticoprene diluted with 25% thinner 6470. After drying apply 2 or 3 additional coats of Ticoprene.
Steel: Sand with 80-100 grade paper and blow with dry compressed air. Apply 3 coats of Ticoprene. As a sealing coat for old and unknown antifoulings: high pressure washing and subsequent sanding.

APPLICATION
Stir the paint for 5 minutes with a power mixer until the colour is even. The paint is ready for brush or roller application. If necessary, up to 5% thinner 6470 may be added. For spray application up to 10% thinner 6470 may be added. Apply an even coat using criss-cross strokes. For best results, the paint should be applied when the temperature of the substrate is above 7° C. In any case the temperature of the substrate shall be at least 2° C above the dew point.
