Veneziani Subcoat XT Filler A+B 2 Kg

Epoxy compound, 100% solids by volume which can be applied underwater, providing excellent adhesiontothe support. Particularly useful for temporary repairs of leaks and cracks of the  boat, when it is in mooring or sailing. It perfectly adheres on fiberglass, Gel coat, already existing epoxy products, epoxy tar as  well  as  steel and concrete. It is suitable for temporary repairs on seacocks, boot topping and submerged parts of cement quays.

SURFACE PREPARATION
Clean the surfaces by using metallic brushesor scrapers to removeany area which is about to detach.APPLICATION PROCEDURE Sub Coat Xt is a two-componentproduct. Mix  the  two components(white base, blue  hardener) manuallywearing protective gloves which must be constantlywetor keeping hands in a bowl of water or in the sea. In order to blend it, start to handle a quantity of hardener(blue paste), then add to it an equal  quantity of base product (white  paste), then mix  with wet hands until you get a homogeneous light blue colour and a uniform consistency. It is possible to perform these operations even underwater without altering thefinal result.  Do not add any thinner.Sub  Coat Xt has a limited period of applicability. Such time decreases when temperatures are higher than 25°. Apply the product when the surface temperature is above 5°. Apply an averagethickness of4 mm.

Notes
It is recommended  to  carefully  mix  the  two  components  before  catalysis. Do  not  add any solvent orfluidifier.

N.B.The drying times and the overcoating intervals increase with higher thickness of the applied film.Always check the existing painting film is perfectly dry before applying a further product coat.

CONDITIONS DURING APPLICATION
The productcan be applied with a water temperature between +5°C  and+30°C, since the curing process is considerably slowed at inferior temperatures. It is suggested to apply the  product with sea currents higher than 0,8 knots and wave widths higher than 50cm and in any case inpresence of short waves.Make sure that thereis an adequate ventilation when the paint is applied in closed spaces.

Storage
It is recommended to avoid exposure to air and extreme temperatures. To maximizethe  shelf life in the can, be surethat the container is well closed during the  storage and that temperature is between  10°  C and 35° C. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight.

Safety rules
Observe the provisions of DPR 303 and 547. For  example,avoid contact with skin,  operate in well ventilated areas and, if indoor, use extractors, fans and air  conveyors.  During the application, use appropriate protections (masks, gloves, glasses, etc). Before using, read section 7-8 of the SDS.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE DISPOSAL OF PRODUCTS AND PACKAGING
Empty packaging that contained products: dispose of empty packaging according to the requirements of the waste disposal law, for example by taking them to the recycling center.
